Inspired by Rosie Huntington Whiteley's Chic Chapeau

Rosie's outfit is what I call the cool wintery mix. I'm a sucker for an ensemble that provides a beautiful balance between warmness and chicness. The fedora, leather bag and brown heels with buckles are the perfect accessories for this season. Find all the items below:

How To Shine This Holiday Season

... without looking like a Christmas tree that is. Here are a few simple ways:

{One} Sequins: One should exercise caution when wearing sequins as things can easily go horribly wrong. Go for a dress that's eye-catching and keep everything else simple. Try this beautiful dress sans the accessories.

{Two} Shimmer: Subtly is the mother of classiness, so go for a subtle sheen to celebrate the festivities. Check out this gleaming dress from Monaco.

{Three} Bold Accessories: Spice up your classic pieces with statement accessories such as this beaded clutch from Piperlime, this glitter bow belt from Kate Spade and these uber cute suede heels from Anna Taylor

Christmas Gifts for Every Kind of Girl

Hello ladies and gents. I truly apologize for the long time I've been away from my blog. These past few weeks have been crazy busy with an unexpected amount of work. As you all know, freelance work can oscillate between working a lot and not working at all, and thankfully I've been blessed with the former, but at the expense of my blog. I hope this Christmas season I'll be able to catch up on all your news and share some of mine with you. The last time I posted I gave you a sneak-peak of some of the things I had been eyeing for myself this Christmas. Today, I give you a second installment- something to help us deal with the quintessential question of what to buy to the different girlfriends and female family members who have different interests and tastes.

I. For the journalist/writer/teacher: Nothing like a leather tote bag that's chic AND big enough for those notepads, your mac and all the other things in between.

II. For the glitter enthusiast: These pair of glitter ballerina shoes from Zara Home will leave any gal giddy and spice up any outfit just in time for the festivities.

III. For the geek: This uber cute Power Mate provides hours of extra battery use for your iphone 3G/4/4S via USB to computer or power adapter. With this, you can always stay connected.

IV. For the girly girl: This cluster leaf necklace is definitely going to score you some points this Christmas. Clusters of smooth and textures rose gold and gold-plates leaves dangling from a delicate chain are bound to make a statement this season.

V. For the cook/food aficionado: Change everyday cooking with this all-American assortment of 11 gourmet salts, which includes salts that have been smoked with American hardwoods, infused with citrus, and flavored with balsamic vinegar, as well as several natural salts with distinctive qualities, such as Utah "sweet salt" and flake salt from New York.

An Early Holiday Wish-List

I know it's early but I've been coming across way too many desirable things to ignore this wish-list growing inside my head. So here's some of what I like so far:

I. Corniches by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are informal and flexible shelves. Ideal for small storage spaces. Find them here.

II. Jil Sander leather wedge ankle boots. 'Nuff said. Find them here.

III. I'm a huge cat lover and couldn't help but chuckle when I saw this book aptly named "I Could Pee On This & Other Poems by Cats." Find it here.

IV. Jimmy Choo glitter case for ipad. Can't say no to glitter. Find it here.

V. Growing a Christmas tree (technically, a Scotch Pine) on your desktop or windowsill couldn't be easier: this handsome bamboo pot contains everything you need. Find it here

New Accessory Alert: Manish Arora Ipad Cases

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I've been MIA! I was on a two-week assignment and couldn't get my brain to function in any other realm. But I'm back and excited that we're are well on our way towards a great season, a.k.a Christmas time! In the meantime though, I came across these three lovely ipad cases that look like a million bucks! They are from Manish Arora and they can double as a clutch courtesy of all the jewels and sequins. I'm also loving the accessories (and that skirt!) on those ladies showcasing them. Perhaps I'll be put these on my gift list for next month :)

New Dress Alert: Shimmery Beads & Sequins

It's barely Thanksgiving and we're already seeing beads and sequins everywhere, and quite frankly, I don't mind at all! 'Tis the season to shimmer and shine courtesy of these dazzling above-the-knee dresses. I'm especially loving the zig zag (chevron) dress with the twinkling effect. What do you think? Too early in the season? Either way, you can see these dresses and more here.

Today I'm Craving...La Mer Watches

I don't know if I have ever mentioned this, but I'm in love with La Mer watches. My first was a brown leather wrap with a golden leaf-shaped chain. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that every woman I came across eyed that watch and many asked where I got it from. The only annoyance about these watches was that you could only buy them online. But not anymore! La Mer has launched a special collection for Target, which means you can pick and choose, and best of all, try on! Which is your favorite? Look at others on their website here. You will be blown away.

New Trend Alert: Nude Colors

I've been seeing a lot of nude colors lately and I think they're slowly going to be replacing my black hues. Nudes are super easy to mix and match (with gold par example), especially since they come in an array of shades (pinkish, apricot, tan, beige, caramel to name a few). I'm on the look-out for a leather jacket in this color. If you see a cute one around, do let me know!

Today I'm Craving...A Sweater and Loafers

I've been piling up all these items I want in a folder on my desktop and I've just *finally* come around to showing you what I have in this 'dream box.' I lalalalove this heart-shaped sweater. I can imagine it with a pair of jeans worn on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I've also been eying this pair of printed calf hair loafers that would go with a lot of outfits I have. Check out my want-worthy list below:

Harrods' Ten Fairy Tale Dresses of Princesses

I'm not a huge fan of Disney princess stories, but these sketches caught my eye the other day. For Christmas this year, London-based luxury retail outlet Harrods will be displaying designer Disney Princess gowns at its iconic Knightsbridge store’s windows. Ten fairy tale dresses of princesses—Jasmine, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Mulan and Pocahontas, to name a few—would be imagined and designed by world-renowned fashion designers, such as Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Versace, Marchesa, and Elie Saab. I'm a HUGE fan of Elie Saab, so naturally his dress is my favorite. But I'm also loving Escada's depiction of Princess Jasmine. Did any catch your eye?

Best Deal on Eyeshadow Palette

It's easy for one (read: me) to get carried away when looking for makeup. I saw this last night on the Zoe Report and it seemed like a great palette that could provide a range of colors for a range of occasions. I love the softness of the radiant rose especially and the silvery hue infused with the black-ish color. Of course, I think it's almost a sin to buy an eyeshadow trio for $74. The solution: this very similar palette for $30 from Revlon!

New Dress Alert: The Beaded Flapper

It's not every day that I aspire to own dresses. I'm more of a pants girl myself. But every so often I run into a dress so spectacular, it's tough not to highlight it or dream of owning it. This white beaded flapper dress that I found on Piperlime is simple yet stunning, a powerful duo in my book. Perhaps to a cocktail or engagement party? What do you think?

8 Ways To Mix & Match Fall Colors

I was looking through Shoshana's Fall 2012 look-book (find it here) and fell in love instantaneously. But more importantly, the look-book shows how easy it is to mix and match this season. I'm particularly mesmerized by the mix of navy blue and brown. Seriously I can never tire of this combo. Also loving the greens and reds. What are you in the mood for this fall? I know there's tons more colors to look out for this time of year, but these are just a few easy ways to mix and match your way into chicness.

Today I'm Craving...All Things Studded

Want to look like a million bucks without actually paying a million bucks? I say take the studded road. Pyramid studs can have an instant chic effect on anything seemingly simple, such as LBD, a leather cross-body and a pair of ankle boots. What do you think? Are you into these little suckers as much as I am?

How to Create a Decadent Halloween Tablescape

If you're on the look out to create something decadently dramatic this Halloween, or just trying to create a "cool table for the adults," then look no further. Joss & Main have everything you need and more. I'm loving these dinner plates and tumblers that showcases what looks like a spider's web. Aren't they something?

Guide to Fall's Top Nail Colors

I'm still at it, ladies and gentlemen: the ultimate guide to everything fall. I say this as the sun shines and temperatures are at a record high for this time of year. But I can't help it. Look at this wide array of options for those nails this season! Even the neutrals are more nuanced. Six Trendy Fall Coats

Since this week's theme is all things fall, I thought I'd take a stab at what I think is the most important item of the season: the coat. It's the one item that's mostly showing when you're outside, so why not make sure it's not only warm but also chic. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but Zara has the most beautiful and diverse range of coats out there, featuring the latest fads, such as frilled waists, studded collars and leather sleeves. I wish there was a way I could buy them all.

So for fall:
